Handled with care. What we collect, why we need it, and the choices you have.

Google Ads measurement only runs with your permission. Saying no does not affect your enquiry. Basic first-party measurement is explained below.

internet office uses the information you provide to assess a website enquiry, prepare and deliver agreed work, support customer websites and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information or add project enquirers to a marketing list by default.
Mr Pilgrim trading as internet office is the data controller responsible for the personal information described in this notice. You can contact us at hi@internetoffice.io or write to 34 St Nicholas Street, Bristol, BS1 1TG, United Kingdom.
The initial availability form asks for your business name, email address, kind of business and, if you have one, an existing website address. If we invite you to the next step, the project brief may also include your name, phone number, social links, service area, business information, website preferences, project timing, legal details and files you choose to provide. Please do not send passwords, payment-card details, identity documents, health information or other sensitive personal information through either form.
Basic security and service logs may include an IP address, browser, requested page, time and error information. Bank-transfer records may include the payer name, amount, date and transaction reference; internet office does not ask for payment-card details.
If the legal basis is consent for a specific optional use, you may withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing.
The detailed project brief saves draft answers in your browser's local storage so you can continue later. The short availability form does not save draft answers. Project-brief drafts remain on that device until you submit the form, clear them with the button provided, clear browser storage or the browser removes them. They are not sent to internet office until you submit or use the email fallback. File contents cannot be restored from local storage.
On selected service and location pages, the website records a small first-party event when the page is viewed, an availability link is selected or the initial enquiry begins. The record may include the page, service or location source, referring address and campaign labels in the URL. It does not include form answers, does not use an analytics cookie and is used to compare whether those pages lead to useful enquiries and customers.
If you choose “Allow measurement”, we load the Google Ads tag to understand whether our advertising leads to an enquiry. Google may receive the page address, advertising click identifiers, technical information such as your IP address and browser, and a conversion event after the short initial enquiry has been successfully saved. A completed project brief is not counted as a second enquiry conversion. The conversion uses a generated reference to avoid duplicate counting. We do not send your name, email, form answers or uploaded files through this tag, and enhanced conversions and advertising personalisation are not enabled.
The Google tag is not loaded before you allow measurement. Choosing “No thanks” does not affect the website or your enquiry. You can change your choice through “Cookie settings” in the footer. If you withdraw permission, we stop future advertising measurement and remove the advertising cookies we can access on this domain; this does not undo information already sent. Google explains its processing at Google's business privacy information.
Cloudflare provides the site hosting, database, private file storage and security controls used by the enquiry forms. Resend is used for transactional email. The short availability form shows success only after the enquiry has been accepted by the server. If hosted project-brief submission is unavailable, that detailed form can open a pre-addressed message in your own email application instead; nothing is sent by the website, and optional files are not attached automatically.
Project invoices are paid by bank transfer. The relevant banks process those payments. Domain, hosting, email, accounting and professional-service providers may also handle the limited information needed to perform their role. We do not use this information for third-party advertising.
Some providers operate internationally. Where personal information is processed outside the UK, we use the provider's applicable UK adequacy basis or contractual safeguards. Email hi@internetoffice.io if you would like more information about a provider used for your enquiry or project.
Unsuccessful or inactive enquiries are normally kept for six months after the last meaningful contact. Files submitted with an enquiry are set for deletion after six months unless the project proceeds. Customer, project, contract and accounting records are normally kept for six years after the relevant contract or financial period where needed for tax, accounting or legal claims. A longer or shorter period may apply when law, a dispute or a specific customer arrangement requires it.
Information may be handled by internet office and selected providers for hosting, forms, email, payments, accounting, project delivery and professional advice. It may also be disclosed where law requires it or where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. It is not sold.
Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase or restrict information, object to some uses, receive portable information, and complain. Send a request to hi@internetoffice.io. Identity may need to be verified without collecting more information than necessary.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. We would appreciate the chance to address the concern first.
You may object when we rely on legitimate interests to use your personal information. Tell us what you object to and why; we will stop unless there is a compelling lawful reason to continue.
Essential local storage remembers a project-brief draft and your cookie choice. The cookie choice lasts up to 180 days; project-brief drafts last until cleared as described above. With your permission, Google Ads may set first-party advertising cookies (including names beginning _gcl_) to associate a visit with an ad click. Our tag requests a 30-day cookie lifetime, and browsers may impose a shorter limit. Google may also use its own cookies as described in its privacy information. First-party page and enquiry events described above do not set a tracking cookie. Advertising click IDs are passed to and retained with the initial enquiry only when optional advertising measurement is allowed.
We update the date above when this notice or the way we use personal information changes. Material changes are communicated directly where reasonable.
